Gremlins (1984)

Billy gets a mogwai named Gizmo as a Christmas present from his father. It's an adorable creature. He just has to follow three simple rules to take care of it: Don't let it near bright light. Don't get it wet. Don't feed it after midnight. Billy accidentally splashes Gizmo with water. This creates more mogwai that seem to be a lot meaner. The mogwai evolve into evil gremlins that soon wreak havoc on Billy's town.
