Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989)

This series is based on Agatha Christie’s short stories and novels featuring her super Belgium detective Hercule Poirot and his sidekick Captain Hastings. Settling in London after World War II, Poirot becomes famous for solving crimes and other mysteries. Starring David Suchet as Poirot and Hugh Fraser as Hastings, they assist Scotland Yard by solving crimes mostly in London. At first Chief Inspector Japp of the Yard played by Philip Jackson, objects to their amateur help, but gradually appreciates their 100 percent conviction rate. and they start to work together. Poirot’s smart and highly organized personal assistant Miss Lemon is played by Pauline Moran.
