The proposed Trade Disputes and Public Safety Bills by the British were met with a resounding explosion in the Indian Parliament Building, masterminded by Bhagat and his ally Batukeshwar Dutt. Bhagat's revolution resonated with the masses, his popularity rivaling that of Gandhi. Even from behind bars, he made headlines with a 63-day hunger strike demanding better treatment for Indian prisoners. However, the re-opening of the Saunders' murder case led to death sentences for Bhagat, Shivram, and Sukhdev. As the nation roared in protest, all eyes turned to Gandhi, who was on the verge of signing the Irwing Pact.
