Incendies (2010)

The attendance at Nawal Marwan's will reading are her twin children, Simon and Jeanne, as well as the executor. Nawal has made a number of strange requests in her will, but the most important is that they travel to the Middle East to meet family members they've never met — their biological father and brother. Despite the reluctance of Simon, the twins push forward and discover that their family history might not be as clean as they thought it to be. At the heart of it is a tangled lineage that ties directly into a history of recursive war and violence.
