The Help (2011)

Set in 1960s Mississippi, Skeeter, a Southern girl, returns home from school with big dreams to become a writer. She turns the town relationships upside down when she decides to interview Black American women who have spent decades caring for prominent families. Her best friend's housekeeper volunteers first, and then many other women come forward and express their interest in telling their stories. An unlikely sisterhood forms, but not without everyone in town voicing their thoughts on this new group. A small town is caught up in the changing times, and everything that comes with it.
