The Hours (2002)

Virginia Woolf's novel Mrs. Dalloway provides a connecting thread for the lives of three vastly different women. Virginia Woolf herself starts to confront her depression as she writes the novel in the 1920s. In the 40s, Laura Brown, a housewife, finds solace by reading the book. Years later, in the early 2000s, Clarissa Vaughn's life parallels Mrs. Dalloway's as she organizes a party for her friend Richard.
