In this unapologetic and audacious buddy comedy, we journey alongside two lesbian sex workers, Margaret and Jo, as they twist and turn through a maze of discount-driven housewives and deceptive conservative females. "The Foxy Merkins" pays tribute to and humorously parodies renowned male hustler films, with a unique twist. Margaret, our underdog protagonist, is a novice in the world of sex work. She stumbles upon Jo, a dazzling and defiant con artist, sprung from wealth, who has mastered the art of satisfying women, all while maintaining her staunch heterosexuality. As we voyage through their street escapades, they cross paths with sultry-voiced temptresses, incoherent erotic gadget peddlers, and compulsive swingers. Their navigation of their 'dates' peculiar predilections and sexual whims illuminates the comical and pitiful differences between these two sex workers. They are comrades on this unconventional journey, their roads converging, albeit temporarily. In "The Foxy Merkins", we find a humorous and touching exploration of the world of female sex work, a world that is often overlooked, and a friendship that is complex, fleeting yet deeply impactful.
