In the fervor of 1971, amidst the echoes of feminist rallying cries and the hum of Parisian life, Carole, a Spanish teacher and fervent feminist, finds her life intersecting with the simple, rustic world of Delphine, the dutiful daughter of Limousin farmers. An unlikely meeting sparks an intense love that burns brighter than the Parisian lights, enveloping them in its passionate embrace. However, fate strikes a cruel blow as Delphine's father succumbs to a stroke, compelling her to return to her rural roots and shoulder the responsibilities of the family farm. Undeterred by distance and societal norms, the lovestruck Carole forsakes the urban hustle to join Delphine in her pastoral existence. Yet, the question looms – can the progressive ideals of feminism and lesbianism harmoniously coexist with the conservative norms of the provincial countryside in the time of yore? The exploration of this poignant tale is as captivating as it is thought-provoking.
