Following the death of his father, Peter Gaulke is bestowed with the legacy of "Strange Wilderness," a quaint television show devoted to the curious world of animals. But as ratings take a nosedive, the show finds itself on the brink of extinction. The narrative then slips into a captivating flashback, revealing the turbulent journey that led to its downfall. The studio chief, in a final act of mercy, grants the show a stay of execution - two more weeks. In a desperate attempt to save the show, an old ally presents an intriguing tale about the elusive Bigfoot, rumored to be lurking in the depths of Ecuador. Prompted by this spark, an adventurous road trip unfolds, punctuated by unexpected detours, miscalculations, and tragedies that could well have been the downfall of a less courageous crew. Peter and his team find themselves in a desperate race. They're pitted against a group of rivals - better equipped, better funded, and with far more experience. The stakes are high - who will be the first to track down Bigfoot? Can they capture this mythical creature on tape and stave off the show's cancellation?
