Hairspray (2007)

Heavy set Tracy has one dream: to get on the Corny Collins Show. When she does, she realizes that it is deeply racist. Motivated to make a change in Civil Rights-era Baltimore, Tracy and her best friend, Penny, band together with their community to show that change is on the horizon for the city. Can she make things better for the Black American community while getting the guy of her dreams, Link? Possibly - after all, those things are just a song and dance away.
