Plot

In the dusty corners of Victorville, California, Melba (Park Overall), a trailer park resident, grapples with a streak of misfortune. Her life takes a dramatic turn when her husband Flint (Don Harvey) abandons her for another woman, and she finds solace in the cryptic predictions of a phone psychic, who foretells the arrival of three kings who will alter her destiny. A chance encounter in a local bar introduces Melba to Trent (Jamie Kennedy), Brad (Freddie Prinze Jr.), and Joel (Steven Petrarca), three charismatic strangers with dreams of striking it rich in Las Vegas. Enamored by her vibrant spirit, they affectionately christen her 'Sparkler', and embodying the kings from her prophecy, she impulsively embarks on their road trip to Sin City. Unbeknownst to Melba, she's hit the jackpot in a million-dollar sweepstakes, but the catch is that she must claim the prize in person within a narrow window of 72 hours. As the clock ticks, Flint uncovers this windfall and schemes to snatch the fortune from under Melba's nose. In the neon-lit labyrinth of Vegas, Melba stumbles upon the Crack, a notorious strip club, and reunites with her high school friend, Dottie Delgato (Veronica Cartwright). Dottie's life is intertwined with the club's enigmatic lesbian owner, Ed (Sandy Martin), adding another layer of intrigue to Melba's journey. As Melba navigates the glittering chaos of Las Vegas with her newfound companions, her dodgy ex-husband is hot on her trail, igniting a thrilling chase for love, fortune, and self-discovery. 'Sparkler' is a tale of chance encounters, unexpected friendships, and the wild rollercoaster of life, all set against the vibrant backdrop of America's playground.
