Ben Anderson is consumed by alcoholism. The disease has stripped him of everything including his job as a Hollywood screenwriter. With nothing to look forward to, Ben moves to Las Vegas with the intention of drinking himself to death. Once there, Ben meets Sera, a prostitute with a terrible relationship with her pimp, Yuri. Ben and Sera accept each other for who and what they are. With this understanding, the two decide to live together for whatever time they have left.
