For two decades, the thrilling and electrifying world of rock 'n' roll has been Jimmy Testagross' reality, living his youthful fantasy as a roadie for his idolized band, Blue Oyster Cult. This enchanting world of stadium lights and guitar riffs, however, has faded into the shadows of the past. The grandeur of arena rock has dwindled to modest county fairs and low-key club gigs, leaving Jimmy a victim of an era long gone. Stripped of his job, with no prospects in sight and armed only with skills fit for a roadie, Jimmy finds himself at the crossroads of life. In an attempt to redefine his existence, he returns to the familiar yet changed neighborhood of his childhood in Queens, NY. Amidst the echoes of his past, he rekindles old flames and reignites old feuds, most notably with a high school crush now married to his age-old nemesis. A crucial aspect of his journey, however, is his relationship with himself - Jimmy, the perpetual adolescent, burdened by the frustrations and grudges of his youth, which have shaped his identity and dictated his life.
