Plot

Nestled within the rugged mountains of Monterrey, Mexico, a distinctive subculture pulses to the rhythm of slowed-down cumbia music - the "Los Terkos" gang. These disenchanted youths, self-dubbed Kolombianos, embody a vibrant collision of Cholo culture and Colombian tunes. They spend their sun-drenched days swaying at dance parties, their audacious outfits, innovative hairstyles and intricate gang alliances on full display. At the helm of Los Terkos is the 17-year-old Ulises Samperio, who navigates the treacherous waters of a complex drug and political war, striving to shield his comrades from its underhanded currents. However, a fateful misunderstanding with a local cartel upends Ulises' world, pushing him away from his home and towards the multicultural labyrinth of Jackson Heights, Queens. In this diverse immigrant community, nestled in the heart of New York City, Ulises struggles to assimilate. Yet, as news of his gang and the very essence of Kolombia culture being under threat reaches him, he is torn. Caught between the harsh realities of his new life and the haunting allure of his past, Ulises is left to wrestle with his place in America and the gnawing longing to return to his homeland. "I'm No Longer Here" is a poignant exploration of identity, belonging, and the relentless pull of home, set against the evocative backdrop of a rapidly changing world. It serves as a vivid testament to the resilience of youth and the power of culture, even in the face of adversity.
