In the frosty town of Syracuse, New York, an unexpected deluge of snow blankets the city, forcing schools to close and joyfully granting the young residents an impromptu holiday - a 'snow day'. Among them, the spirited Brandston siblings seize this fortuitous opportunity to embark on personal quests that promise to turn this day into an unforgettable adventure. The older of the two, Hal Brandston, finds himself smitten by Claire Bonner, the high school's untouchable beauty. The snow day presents a golden opportunity for him to venture beyond his daydreams and muster the courage to capture Claire's heart. While Hal navigates this romantic battlefield, his tenacious younger sister, Natalie, embarks on a mission of her own.
