Plot

Lou Gannon, a notorious New York City criminal, finally finds his decade-long dance with the law coming to an end. Convicted of armed robbery and murder, he is sentenced to a twenty-year stint in a maximum-security prison. Yet, even as the iron gates of the prison close behind him, Gannon's mind is already plotting an audacious escape, his spirit undaunted by the grim reality of his incarceration. Inside the prison, Gannon reunites with familiar faces from his past. Among them is Doc, an old ally who has spent more than a decade within the prison walls, knowing its secrets better than the guards. Then, there's the fearsome Ed 'Bugsy' Kyle, a violent psychopath who wields control over the prison's underworld. Drawn together by Gannon's escape plan, they form an alliance, ready to risk it all for freedom. Gannon's cellmate, the young and regretful Rudy Hernandez, offers a stark contrast. A former gang member who yearned for a straight life, Rudy lands in prison for a misguided decision to assist in a robbery. Determined to earn his freedom through good behavior, Rudy unwittingly becomes entwined in Gannon's daring plot. As the months roll on, Gannon secures a strategic position in the prison, working in the office of the guard captain, Starkey. Meanwhile, Rudy serves as a mechanic in the prison motor-pool. Gannon masterfully orchestrates the smuggling of an array of weapons into the prison, including a Thompson sub-machine gun cleverly disguised within everyday items. However, when a gun barrel is discovered in a delivery of soap, tension sweeps through the prison. The warden orders a comprehensive search, pressing Gannon and his team to fast-track their escape plan. Seizing the opportunity, Gannon instigates a prison riot, a diversion to cover his escape. But there's a twist. Gannon harbors a secret scheme, unknown to his accomplices or his unsuspecting cellmate. As chaos descends upon the prison, will Gannon's audacious plan succeed? Or will the cost of freedom prove too high? "Revolt in the Big House" is a tale of desperation, alliances, and the pursuit of freedom, set against the gritty backdrop of a maximum-security prison.
