Plot
Psychopath Simon Phoenix was cryogenically frozen as punishment for his crimes. When his sentence is up, he's released into a utopian future where violent crime has been eliminated. He cuts a path of terror and blood through this newer, gentler world, and no one knows how to stop him. Police officer John Spartan, frozen for a crime he didn't commit, is brought out of his cryogenic sleep to use his unconventional methods to stop Phoenix, but Spartan may be just as ill-suited for the future as Phoenix.
