Public Enemies (2009)

John Dillinger breaks his gang out of Indiana State Penitentiary. In the process, his mentor is shot to death by the guards. The gang flees and commits a series of bank robberies. Dillinger meets and swoons Billie Frechette in between robberies. Meanwhile, J Edgar Hoover assigns FBI agent Melvin Purvis to hunt down Dillinger. A game of cat and mouse ensues between Dillinger and Purvis. The latter will do whatever is necessary to bring Dillinger to justice. On his journey, Dillinger does whatever he needs to survive. He continues to look for a way out for himself and Frechette throughout all the chaos.
