Plot

In the ominous winter of 1972, a chilling radio transmission slices through the silence at the South Korean military base in Nah-Trang, Vietnam. The message, uncanny and unexpected, hails from a long-lost platoon, assumed to have perished in the treacherous underbelly of conflict. The higher echelons of command turn to the seasoned Lieutenant Choi Tae-in, a decorated war hero, tasking him with leading a squad of eight valiant soldiers on a daunting mission to unravel the mystery and rescue the presumed-dead soldiers from the enigmatic R-Point. Upon their arrival, the squad finds itself in a deadly skirmish, overcoming a Vietnamese woman fiercely armed with a machine gun. Their victory, however, only leads them deeper into the labyrinth of R-Point's haunting history. They stumble upon an ancient tombstone, a silent testament to a century-old massacre where Chinese assailants slaughtered Vietnamese locals, consigning their bodies to a lake before erecting a temple over this watery grave. This hallowed ground now holds an eerie significance to the Vietnamese, a spectral reminder of their past. As Lieutenant Choi's squad delves deeper into their mission, navigating the spectral terrain of the R-Point, uncanny occurrences start to plague their journey. As they inch closer towards their missing comrades, they find themselves ensnared in a web of eerie happenstances. The rescue operation morphs into a haunting exploration of a battlefield that's as much a mental landscape of fear and uncertainty as it is a physical one. This sinister unraveling of events serves as the spine-tingling backdrop of "R-Point", an odyssey of survival, mystery, and the supernatural.
