The Deer Hunter (1978)

Three friends love deer hunting and their life in a small, rural town in Pennsylvania. After high school, the group decides to enter the military together. Soon, the trio heads off to Vietnam. Each man has a different experience during the war. When the first friend comes home, he's different. Soon, he learns one friend is seriously injured and another can't be located. He tries to head to the woods to hunt deer, but soon realizes it doesn't feel the same.
