Just days shy of Christmas, Matthias leaves behind his life in Germany and returns to the vibrant tapestry of his Transylvanian roots. His homecoming is stirred with a desire to rekindle neglected connections and address the gnawing fears that have staked claim on his young son, Rudi. Having been left under the care of his mother, Ana, for far too long, Rudi is riddled with fears that Matthias is determined to dispel. Matthias' return is also marked by a tender concern for his aging father, Otto, and an unresolved longing for his former lover, Csilla, who now commands the helm of a small local factory. As new workers infiltrate the factory under Csilla's watch, the tranquil surface of the community begins to ripple, revealing a murky undercurrent of dread. What unfolds is a raw, unfiltered exploration of human behavior, threatened by the specter of uncertainty.
