Once Upon a Time in America (1984)

A former gangster from the Lower East Side of New York City returns to Manhattan. He has no money, no job and nowhere to go. It's just past the time of prohibition, so his old job of smuggling alcohol is gone. He has a worn suitcase with some questionable documents in it. He finds someone he used to know, and they reminisce about their past exciting times together doing illegal activities. The big question is what can he do now when he has nothing to begin with and nobody to rely on?
