Rachel (Laura Ramsey), a dynamic and globe-trotting diplomat, spends her life in a whirlwind of perpetual motion. Currently stationed at the U.S. embassy in Mexico City, her eyes are already set on her next destination: London. However, the eve of her farewell party takes an unexpected turn. After one too many tequilas, she wakes up in a stranger's apartment with no memory of the night before, her savior none other than Alejandro (Jaime Camil), a charming Mariachi singer and doting single father. Unbeknownst to Rachel, the day prior, she had rejected his visa application, a document he desperately needs for his daughter's future. As the fog of the night before lifts, an unsuspected romance begins to bloom between them. But Alejandro's secret hangs in the air like a thundercloud, threatening to unleash a storm that could end their budding romance. Will love conquer all, or will the revelation send sparks, or perhaps even fists, flying? This is a story that explores the crossroads of duty, passion, and unexpected connections, set against the vibrant backdrop of Mexico City.
