In the eerie aftermath of a devastating car accident, 13-year-old So-Jin vanishes, casting a chilling shroud over her family's apartment complex. This inexplicable disappearance beckons her college-going sister, Hee-jin, back to their childhood abode, where she is met with an ominous aura and a mother lost in the depths of religious fanaticism. Hee-jin's return, however, coincides with a macabre wave of unexplainable suicides sweeping across their neighbors. These grisly events, each more bizarre and grotesque than the last, pull her into a spiraling nightmare. In her escalating desperation, she reaches out to Tae-hwan, a skeptical detective, initially hesitant but eventually drawn into the enigma of the escalating deaths. As Hee-jin grapples with ghastly encounters linked to the suicides and an inexplicable, persistent cough, she and Tae-hwan find themselves unraveling a complex web of connections. Each thread they untangle leads them closer to the unsettling truth, a path winding back to the mysteriously missing So-Jin. The duo must confront the dark undercurrents rippling through their apartment complex, and unravel the chilling mystery that binds the victims to the vanishing of the young girl.
