Jacob's Ladder (1990)

Jacob is a divorced Vietnam vet whose young son tragically died. Although he lives with his girlfriend, Jezzie, in New York City, he has never really recovered from any of those things. He starts to dream he is back in Vietnam and have strange and increasingly terrifying visions while awake. Soon, he meets up with some fellow veterans and finds that they have had similar experiences. Jacob must try to find out if there is a conspiracy afoot or something even greater.
