Plot

In the disarray of city life, the urbane publisher Chris Thorne finds himself on an unplanned detour to the eerie mining town of Valkenvania, New Jersey, with his neighbor, the astute lawyer Diane Lightson, and the eccentric siblings Fausto and Renalda Squiriniszu. Their journey, originally aimed at attending a lecture in Atlantic City, takes a sinister turn when a whimsical detour morphs into a nightmarish adventure. Ignoring a seemingly insignificant stop sign, the group is ensnared by the town's archaic laws and hauled before the enigmatic and eccentric Judge Alvin 'J.P' Valkenheise in a mansion that doubles as a courthouse, nestled amidst a sprawling junkyard. The mansion, a labyrinthine web of zany booby traps and lethal contrivances, veils a chilling secret behind its rusty façade. Despite their initial arrest, Chris and his companions are oddly invited to dine with the judge and his bizarre family, a seemingly cordial invitation that masks a far grimmer reality. The group's subsequent attempts at escape trigger a relentless cat-and-mouse chase, the mansion unfurling its deadly surprises with every wrong turn they take. In "Nothing But Trouble," the everyday journey of a financier and his unlikely companions descends into an uncanny odyssey of survival, ensnared within the deadly grip of Valkenheise's mad justice. This unusual film weaves a tale of suspense and dark humor that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats, pondering the fate of its characters in the face of their surreal predicament.
