In the throes of teenage rebellion, Summer Matthews stumbles upon a profound family secret: the father she never knew is alive. Propelled by a longing to meet him, she sets off on an impromptu journey, armed with nothing more than an old photograph and her gutsy spirit. Her destination is the quaint hamlet of Massey, where she hopes her father's identity will be revealed. Upon her arrival, Summer's mischievous side surfaces as she pilfers from a local store, catching the attention of the town's vigilant sheriff.
