In the scenic landscapes of Kerala, we meet Dasan (Mohanlal) and Vijayan (Sreenivasen), two hapless peons engaged in the humdrum of a government office. Their lives are an unbroken chain of comical misadventures, culminating in joblessness, the unlikely ownership of a cow, and a daunting bank loan looming over their heads. Left with few options and driven by desperation, they embark on a journey to Dubai, hoping to reverse their fortunes. Instead of the golden sands of the Middle East, destiny lands them in the culturally rich terrain of Tamil Nadu. Their luckless existence takes a twist when they're mistaken for a pair of CID officers by a gang of unwitting smugglers. This unexpected turn of events propels them into a whirlwind of chaotic adventures, far removed from their initial plan of seeking employment.
