Plot

Haunted by the horrors of war, veteran SFC Travis Fox returns home, a battlefield unto itself, wrestling with the unseen enemy of PTSD. Over a dozen years, Travis and his comrade, SFC Ron "Preach" Pearcy, have withstood six harrowing deployments in the war against terror. Yet, a chilling IED assault claims the lives of Preach and his entire Ranger platoon, leaving Travis to grapple with the shattering aftermath. Once familiar, his hometown now echoes with absence - his parents, claimed by a tragic accident three years prior, no longer await his return. Amidst the relics of his past, a snapshot of his mother wearing a handcrafted necklace he fashioned in Saudi Arabia catches his eye, yet the sentimental piece is nowhere to be found. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery and truth, Travis confronts the insidious specter of PTSD. As he delves deeper, he begins to rekindle his faith in God, a flickering light in his shadowy world. But just as hope seems to find him, a painful secret, concealed for years by his dear friend, Donnie, threatens to douse his newfound faith. This revelation reignites his guilt and leaves him teetering on the precipice of despair, contemplating the end of his own life. "My Brother's Keeper" is a poignant exploration of the human spirit, the battle scars of life, and the resilience needed to heal them.
