Karmina (1996)

In the shadowed heart of Transylvania, a youthful vampire named Karmina, barely 140 years old, defies her destiny. Bound to become the bride of the loathsome Vlad to please her stern Baron father and her whimsical Baroness mother, she chooses flight over forced matrimony. Her escape leads her to the vibrant landscapes of Quebec, where she takes shelter with her Aunt Esméralda, a seasoned vampire who has mastered the art of cohabiting with humans courtesy of a transformative potion. As Karmina succumbs to the potion's effects, she finds herself entranced by Phillipe, a captivating church organist, and discovers the alien sensation of human love. However, the tranquil sanctuary is shattered as Vlad, the Baron, and the Baroness descend upon Quebec, hell-bent on reclaiming the runaway bride. They transform a hapless customs officer, Ghislain Chabot, into a vampire, using him as a pawn in their pursuit. As chaos ensues, it falls upon Esméralda to dust off her ancient powers and rise as the formidable vampire from her past, determined to protect the star-crossed lovers from a fate worse than death.
