Plot
This is a long-running British crime drama that takes place in the fictional county of Midsomer. It involves an intuitive Detective Chief Inspector and his young sergeant solving murders in different situations. He has to deal with every level of society from the high classes to the local citizens and their quirky superstitions. The series also covers the personal lives of the detectives, including their wives and daughters as well as the challenges the sergeants face working for promotion. There have been two main stars who play the lead detective with several different actors playing the sergeant over the years.
