John Carter (2012)

John Carter is a veteran of the Civil War. He's asked to rejoin the army, but refuses. He gets locked up. After escaping and being pursued, he finds himself in the company of Native Americans. They lead him to a cave. While in the cave, Carter encounters a person with an interesting medallion. When Carter touches the medallion, he is transported to a different place and time. He becomes a prisoner of the creatures there and has to quickly figure out how to get back to where he was before if he is going to survive the ordeal.
