Plot

Caught on the cusp of adolescence, Jack (Anton Yelchin) finds himself grappling with life's complexities far beyond the realm of puberty. His world, once predictable, suddenly teeters on the brink of upheaval as the harsh reality of his parents' divorce invades his existence. The shock is further intensified when his father reveals he's now living with a man, an admission that sends Jack spiraling into a maze of confusion and emotional turmoil. Life, however, has a way of throwing curveballs, and Jack soon discovers that he's not alone in navigating these tumultuous waters. The girl he's quietly been nursing feelings for also has a gay father, a revelation that prompts him to reassess his own prejudices and feelings. Meanwhile, his best friend's family, which Jack had always viewed as the epitome of marital bliss, unexpectedly crumbles, shattering his idealized notion of a perfect marriage. Through these bittersweet experiences, Jack learns a life-altering lesson. No family is devoid of imperfections, yet it's the support, understanding, and profound love within his own unit that makes it stronger than he ever realized. As Jack embarks on this emotional journey, he comes to terms with his own feelings and prejudices, ultimately finding strength in the most unexpected of places. "Jack" is a poignant tale of self-discovery, acceptance, and the indomitable strength of family ties, even in the face of adversity.
