Thelma (2017)

Thelma ran away from her religious and conservative family to go to school in Oslo, but she continues to live a largely secluded and lonely life. But she finally finds a sense of normalcy when she befriends Anja. A romantic spark ignites between the two of them, but Thelma pulls away because of her religious upbringing. But when Anja is taken away from her, Thelma discovers that she has powers that she never realized before. She's suddenly forced to reevaluate her own history and return back home so she can rescue Anja and fully unlock the untapped potential of her powers.
