In the throbbing heart of World War II, the quaint Grosvenor Square, known as Eisenhower's home, becomes a melting pot for GIs stationed in London. Amid the war-torn fabric of 1943 England, the story unfolds around Lady Patricia Fairfax (Anna Neagle), a fiery British dame with a penchant for Major David Bruce (Sir Rex Harrison).
