Sleepers (1996)

A group of four young friends growing up in Hell's Kitchen end up seeing their lives take a dramatic turn for the worst when a neighborhood prank goes wrong. All four end up being sent to a detention center where punishment is preferred over reform and the adults working there are given free rein to act out their sadistic desires. Over a decade later the boys are all grown up, but they still carry the trauma of what happened to them when they were still kids. The opportunity for getting revenge on the people who brutalized them may be too tempting to pass up.
