The West Wing (1999)

The West Wing provides an in-depth look at the fictional President of the United States, Josiah Bartlett, and the staff that makes up his administration. Much of the show focuses on the political intrigue and policy successes - and failures - of the Barlett administration, tracking his Presidency as it attempts to improve the lives of the American people. Much of the cast and crew changes over the course of the series, which tracks Bartlett from his first year in office to the waning days of his administration. Along the way, Bartlett and his team fight off countless military threats, domestic turmoil, judicial appointments, and more.
