Plot

Roger Cobb, a once renowned horror novelist and Vietnam veteran, grapples with the vanishing of his son Jimmy, a mystery that shatters his marriage and stalls his writing career. His life takes a further plunge into darkness when his beloved Aunt Elizabeth is found dead, hanging in her bedroom. Inheriting the house of his aunt, Roger relocates there, ensnared by a haunting past and the allure of unanswered questions. Intriguingly, the house is not just a relic of his past, but a realm of uncanny occurrences, as his nosy neighbor, Harold Gorton, who also happens to be an ardent fan, quickly discovers. The house, as his aunt had once claimed, harbors a supernatural presence. The swimming pool in the backyard, the very place where Jimmy disappeared, further deepens the enigma. As Roger attempts to pen his experiences from the Vietnam War, specifically the agonizing capture and torture of his comrade, Big Ben, he becomes increasingly entwined in the eerie happenings of the house. The line between reality and hallucination blurs, the house revealing itself as a portal to an infernal dimension. Haunted by demonic entities and tormented by the echoes of his past, Roger embarks on a perilous journey. The house, a crucible of his worst fears and a labyrinth of his lost son's mystery, forces him to confront the chilling horrors of his past and the terrifying truths that lurk within its walls.
