Ricky Hayman, the beleaguered right-hand man of the Good Buy Shopping Network's head honcho, John McBainbridge, is on the brink of professional oblivion, thanks to a disheartening two-year stretch of dismal sales figures. With his career on a precarious ledge, Ricky stumbles upon an unexpected lifeline: a mysterious drifter named G, whose path he nearly crosses in a chance vehicular near-miss. Alongside Kate Newell, Ricky impulsively decides to bring this stranger into their lives, oblivious to the fact that G is an embodiment of goodness in an often cynical world. As G embarks on a quest for enlightenment, he extends a helping hand to salvage Ricky's plummeting career, his unconventional methods breathing new life into the stagnating shopping network. G's innate and unpredictable nature, however, lands Ricky in a whirlwind of chaos.
