The Ten Commandments (1956)

The Old Testament story of Moses being handed the ten commandments from God is dramatically rendered. The baby Moses is sent down the river to Egypt to escape the Pharaoh's order to have all male Hebrew infants murdered, and he ends up being taken in by the Pharaoh's daughter and brought into the royal household. It's not until he's an adult and an accepted member of the family that his Hebrew heritage is discovered and he's cast out. But Moses will eventually be called on to return to Egypt and liberate the rest of his Hebrew brethren from their shackles.
