Plot

In the grimy underbelly of the city, Nick Robey exists as a jittery, superstitious two-bit hood, his life marked by his ineptitude in crime and an apathetic relationship with his slovenly mother. Nick, along with his only friend and partner in crime, Al Molin, hatch a daring plan to mug a man carrying a hefty payroll of $10,000. However, their poorly-executed plan spirals into chaos, resulting in Al's death and Nick injuring a cop, forcing him to go on the lam. Nick, remembering Al's advice to blend in with the crowd, stumbles upon the public pool where he crosses paths with Peggy Dobbs, a working-class spinster, as inexperienced and insecure as he is. Sensing an opportunity, Nick decides to court Peggy, hoping to use her to his advantage. He artfully ingratiates himself into the lives of the Dobbs family, which includes Peggy's parents and her young brother, Tommy. As Nick's predicament intensifies, he uses Peggy's home as a hideout, waiting for the police manhunt to cool off. Amidst the tension, an unexpected bond develops between him and Peggy, prompting him to invite her to escape the encroaching danger with him. However, his inherent mistrust and paranoia begin to surface, leading him to suspect that Peggy might betray him. "He Ran All the Way" is a compelling narrative that examines the desperate measures taken by its characters to survive their unique predicaments. The uneasy alliance between Nick and the Dobbs family serves as a ticking time bomb, each character's perspective and decisions potentially leading to their ruin or salvation. This story of desperation, trust, and survival will have viewers on the edge of their seats, questioning till the very end - who will run and who will stay?
