Plot
It's 1961, and Llewelyn Davis is desperately trying to scrape by as a folk musician in New York's Greenwich Village. While he's had some success as a musician, he's now scraping by with almost no money and mostly crashing on the couches of friends. Over the course of a week, Llewelyn's life is shown with no varnish. He's reliant on friends but stubbornly devoted to his principles, and his homelessness is self perpetuating as it makes it hard for him to go to gigs. Llewelyn's career has stalled out through a combination of personal defects and failures of his manager, and he needs to make a decision of where he'll go next.
