Plot

In an austere future, the USA has implemented a chilling regulation - each woman is restricted to birthing only a single child. John and Karen Brennick, still grieving the loss of their firstborn, defy this draconian rule when Karen falls pregnant with their second child. Their desperate bid for freedom leads them towards Mexico, a sanctuary from the US authorities' relentless grasp. However, just as hope begins to bloom, they are ensnared and thrust into the cold steel confines of the 'Fortress', a state-of-the-art prison. The Fortress, a paragon of modern incarceration, is not just a prison, but a sinister playground for a private corporation with ulterior motives. Prisoners are not merely confined; they are controlled - their every move monitored by relentless cameras, their thoughts probed by mind-scanners, and their compliance ensured by electronic pain-inducing devices implanted in their stomachs. The Fortress boasts an arsenal of lasers and neutron-cannons, a chilling testament to its impregnability. Yet, despite the daunting odds, John Brennick refuses to surrender to despair. With his wife's safety on the line and their unborn child's life at stake, he begins to weave a daring plan of escape. The Fortress may wield cutting-edge technology and ruthless control tactics, but it has not accounted for the indomitable spirit of a man with everything to lose. This is not just a tale of survival, but a testament to the power of hope and human resilience, set against the backdrop of a terrifyingly plausible future.
