A nostalgic lens tints this sitcom about a group of teenagers growing up in the middle of a boring Wisconsin town in the middle of the 1970s. Eric Foreman is an ordinary high school teenager with a group of friends he's been hanging out with since they were a kid and a crush on the girl who lives next door to him. But while the fads, music, and fashion styles may lean hard into the sensibilities of the time, the sorts of experiences that Eric and his group of misfit friends go through have a universal appeal regardless of the era you were born in.
