In the misty corners of rural Ireland, seasoned psychiatrist Jane Morton is tasked with the perplexing case of Dorothy Mills, a disturbed teenager accused of attempting to strangle an infant she was babysitting. Jane, still reeling from the tragic loss of her husband and son in a heartbreaking accident, ventures to the isolated island where Dorothy resides.
