Darna Zaroori Hai (2006)

Satish Pahwa, an unwavering film enthusiast, embarks on a chilling journey to catch the premiere of a horror flick, 'Darna Mana Hai', despite his mother's warnings against traversing the eerie, moonless graveyard pathway on the ominous night of Friday the 13th. Unfazed by superstitions and the whispers of the undead, he ventures through the cemetery, mocking the silent graves, only to find his courage waning on his return journey as the hushed graveyard comes alive with inexplicable sounds and an unsettling sense of pursuit. Meanwhile, in a secluded forest camp, six children stumble upon a mysterious dwelling, home to an enigmatic old lady who spins a web of spine-chilling tales. As they challenge each other to endure the terror till the end, they're introduced to a series of ghastly narratives. They first encounter the unsettling tale of Professor Sunil Khanna, haunted by spectral hallucinations and his student, Altaaf, who is an uncanny doppelganger with a hollow face. Next, they plunge into the story of Kunal, a stranded photographer, lured into a haunted house by Varsha, a lonely widow. However, the apparitions shift, and it's Varsha's spirit that seems to haunt the house, while her supposedly dead husband, Rahul, is very much alive. Further into the night, they learn of Vishwas and his family, tormented by a persistent salesman predicting accidents and impending doom. Then, the tale of Karan Chopra, a romantic film director turned horror scriptwriter, who, on his journey to Khandala, picks up Riya, a ghostly hitchhiker claiming to have died on the same road. Disbelieving her, he invites her to his bungalow, where a real nightmare awaits him. Lastly, they hear the horrifying tale of a murdered new bride who uses Ajay's body to exact her revenge. As each tale unfolds, the children disappear one by one, only to return as spectral versions of themselves, creating a night of horror that blurs the line between reality and chilling fiction. Darna Zaroori Hai is a chilling rollercoaster ride that plunges deep into the realm of fear, making for a haunting cinematic experience.
