On the Waterfront (1954)

Terry Malloy works at the docks while he dreams of a future as a boxer, though everyone around him seems to recognize that his time in the sun is over. Between his normal shifts, Terry runs errands for a man named Johnny Friendly and happens to witness a murder by a couple of his men. Terry feels a level of responsibility for what happened, and that worries the men who are behind what happened. Terry may not be able to fight in the ring anymore, but he'll find a bigger threat than he's ever faced in the form of a corrupt union.
