Paul Edgecomb is a prison guard who supervises the notorious Green Mile at Louisiana's Cold Mountain Penitentiary. The Green Mile is home to the state's most violent killers, and all of them are awaiting a date with the electric chair. The arrival of John Coffee on the Green Mile is about to change life as Paul Edgecomb and his fellow Cold Mountain guards know it.
