Double Indemnity (1944)

Walter Neff falls hard for Phyllis Dietrichson, and that's exactly what she wants. Neff's an insurance salesman, and Phyllis is the gorgeous wife of one of his clients. Neff's got experience, and he quickly pieces together that Phyllis is looking to take out a life insurance claim on her husband so that she can kill him and collect. Walter quickly becomes her co-conspirator and takes charge of the plan to off her husband. But once it's all said and done, Walter realizes he's been played by Phyllis all along. With nothing to lose, he decides to track down Phyllis and get what he's due.
