Plot

In a realm where 3-D effects are subtle and enticing, an American rocket ship embarks on a lunar voyage that transcends the ordinary. Led by the resolute commander Sonny Tufts, and his co-pilot Victor Jory, the crew is an ensemble of non-astronauts, comprising an intuitive navigator Marie Windsor, the ingenious engineer Douglas Fowley, and their radio man Bill Phipps. The moonscape, a mysterious canvas painted with strange occurrences, guides them to an unexpected landing suggested by Windsor. Their journey takes a fantastical turn as they unearth a cavern, a portal to signs of a long-lost civilization. Amidst the tension of possession and power, symbolized by Jory’s lone gun, they stumble upon a dozen captivating females, remnants of the moon's original inhabitants. Venturing further into the depths of the moon, they discover a city buried beneath the lunar surface, home to these eight moon maidens dressed in tight leotards. Welcoming them with celestial hospitality, these women serve the crew with food and drink, masking their true intentions beneath their charm. The astronauts are oblivious to their hidden agenda - the hypnotic control they exert over Windsor, their plan to decode the secrets of the rocket ship, and their ultimate ambition: to launch themselves towards Earth. This civilization, preserved for over 2 million years, thrives on their superior powers, ready to assume control over earth. A thrilling journey to the dark side of the moon thus morphs into an unpredictable encounter with a forgotten civilization, where the stakes of power, control, and survival are as high as the cosmos itself. Unknown to the crew, their expedition becomes a race against time, with the fate of the Earth hanging in the balance.
